Before joining Regulus in August 2008, Dr. Garry Menzel was a Managing Director and Global Head of Life Sciences for Credit Suisse. He joined Credit Suisse in 2004, serving a broad range of biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients around the world, raising capital and negotiating merger agreements. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, he was a Managing Director and Global Head of Biotechnology for Goldman Sachs. Dr. Menzel joined Goldman Sachs in 1994 and was a founding member of the Healthcare Group. Prior to his career on Wall Street, Dr. Menzel was a strategy consultant for Bain & Company, working on a variety of operational projects in Europe and Asia. Dr. Menzel earned a B.Sc. with Honors in Biochemistry from the Imperial College of Science & Technology in London, England in 1985, a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge, England in 1988, and a M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1994. He is an Associate of the Royal College of Science. Dr. Menzel is a member of the board of directors for both the Institute for Systems Biology and the Epilepsy Foundation.
